God Who Built Zion

Imagine knowing where the most important place on earth is—a place set apart and established by God Himself. Imagine walking through its gates, feeling joy and gratitude, knowing that you can meet God and receive salvation. A place where salvation overflows. This is Zion, a city unlike any other, chosen by God for His people.

From the very beginning, God’s plan has been to protect His people. The prophecies in the Bible guide us toward salvation, revealing that Zion was far more than just a city. Among all the kings who ruled, it was only King David who was able to establish and build Zion, fulfilling God’s purpose and promise.

The Relationship Between Jesus and King David

The book of Ezekiel tells us that King David will be our prince forever. But since these words were written over 450 years after David’s death, it is clear that this is a prophecy about the spiritual David.

Ezekiel 37:24-25 “My servant David will be king over them… David my servant will be their prince forever.”

Luke 1:31-32 “You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.”

Jesus was given the throne of David, which is why Ezekiel said, “David my servant will be their prince forever.” It is clear that Jesus is the prophetical King David. The life and work of David in the Old Testament is a shadow, and the reality is Jesus in the New Testament. God could have chosen any king, but He chose David because of the unique connection between David and Jesus. The most remarkable work King David did was when he established Zion. After the Israelites entered Canaan, no one was able to conquer Zion. This is the work that was reserved for David. In the same way, Jesus, the prophetical King David, established the spiritual Zion.

What Is the Spiritual Zion?

Zion is the place where the people of God can keep God’s feasts. When we grow in our faith, we come to fall in love with God’s words over and over. God established Zion so that we can clearly distinguish where to go in the last days.

Isaiah 33:20 “Look on Zion, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken.”

2,000 years ago, Jesus brought the truth of the Passover, Feast of Tabernacles, Day of Pentecost, and showed us how to keep the Sabbath day (Matthew 26:17, John 7:2, Acts 2:1, Luke 4:16). Jesus established the feasts of God one by one, showing us He is the spiritual David who established Zion through the feasts of God.

However, Satan continually works against God, seeking to lead us away from salvation. Because of this, Zion was destroyed (Daniel 7:25). The truth was altered, the Passover was abolished, and the teachings of Sunday worship and Christmas were introduced into the church. In order to be saved, we must have the feasts of God; we must have Zion. God, who always thinks of His children, will always defeat Satan and provide salvation and rebuild Zion (Isaiah 51:3).

The Rebuilding of Zion in the Last Days

We who live in the last days get to live through the prophecy that Micah spoke about. Zion has been rebuilt! This is testimony that the spiritual David will appear in the last days.

Micah 4:1-2 “In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains… Many nations will come and say, ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord… He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.’ The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

Psalm 102:16-22 “For the Lord will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory… Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord: ‘The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high… to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.’ So the name of the Lord will be declared in Zion…”

God Himself built Zion and established it for our salvation. This leads us to an important question: how can we recognize the spiritual David in the last days? The answer is found only through the feasts of God. Just as King David built Zion, the spiritual David must rebuild Zion by restoring the truth—God’s feasts.

Christ Ahnsahnghong rebuilt Zion by bringing back the seven feasts in three times. Through the feasts, Zion was restored, and the way to salvation was revealed once again. For this reason, He is the spiritual King David—the Second Coming Christ who brought salvation to us in the last days.
