God’s Way to Salvation: The Seal of God

All of God’s children long to be freed of suffering and pain and to live in a place where there is only peace and happiness. Yet, that place cannot be found on earth. The news of conflicts and wars is a constant occurrence in our daily lives. Natural disasters happen all over, as the earth weakens. Many fear the unknown and search for a way to protect themselves. Some build underground bunkers and store large quantities of food and supplies. Scientists acknowledge the shelf life of Earth and are searching for a viable way for humankind to live outside of this planet. 

The place that we now call home will not exist forever. The Bible teaches that in the last days there will be a great disaster which destroys the world. We all wish to be saved from it, but it is impossible to escape by the power and innovations of mankind. 

Amos 9:2 Though they dig down to the depths below, from there my hand will take them. Though they climb up to the heavens above, from there I will bring them down. Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, there I will hunt them down and seize them. Though they hide from my eyes at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to bite them. 

Whenever God prophesies disaster, He always teaches his children the way to escape it. Then, what is the way to receive protection and safety in the last days? God explained His will for our salvation in the book of Revelation. We must receive the seal of God. 

Prophecy of God’s Sealing Work

Revelation 7:1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God. 

The Apostle John saw four angels holding the four winds from the four corners of the earth. What are the winds that they are holding back? 

Jeremiah 4:11 At that time this people and Jerusalem will be told, “A scorching wind from the barren heights in the desert blows toward my people, but not to winnow or cleanse… 

Jeremiah 4:19 Oh, my anguish, my anguish! I writhe in pain. Oh, the agony of my heart! My heart pounds within me, I cannot keep silent. For I have heard the sound of the trumpet; I have heard the battle cry. 

In the Bible, winds represent war. The prophecy in the book of Revelation teaches us about a great war that would blow over the earth from all directions, that is, a world war. In history, there have been two world wars. Which world war is prophesied here? We can find the answer in Revelation 6. 

Revelation 6:13 … and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. 

‭‭The Bible prophesies that stars would fall to the earth as figs drop from a fig tree. The people of Israel are represented as stars (Ge 15:5) and figs (Lk. 13:6). Through this prophecy, God teaches us that there would be a world war that causes many Israelites to perish. This prophecy was fulfilled through World War II, which ended in 1945. 

After the events of World War II, Apostle John saw the four angels holding back the war. God’s intention was to prevent it from destroying the earth so that He could protect His people with the seal of God. God also showed us where the sealing work would start. 

Revelation 7:2 …coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. 

The work of God’s putting a seal starts in the east. Apostle John was on the island of Patmos when he received this revelation. This means that God’s sealing work would begin in a land in the east from the island of Patmos, and it would begin after the year 1945.  

The Passover Is the Seal of God  

Jesus came to the earth 2,000 years ago to teach us how to receive the seal of God. 

John 6:27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. 

Jesus, the Son of Man, said that the seal is on His body. To receive the seal, we must become one body with Him. What does the Bible say is the only way to become one body with Christ? 

John 6:53-56 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 

Jesus taught that when we eat His flesh and drink His blood, we remain in Him and He remains in us. Through participating in His flesh and blood, we become one body. How did Jesus teach us to do this? 

Matthew 26:17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. 

Matthew 26: 26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 

Jesus called the Passover bread His body and the Passover wine His blood. When we participate in the Passover, we become one body with Christ and receive the seal of God. The Passover is the treasure that God brought to this earth for His children so that disasters will pass over us and we will be saved in the end.  

Throughout history, God used the Passover to protect His people from disaster. At the time of the Exodus, God commanded the Israelites to keep the Passover. All who kept it were saved from the tenth plague that passed through Egypt (Ex. 12:13). In the time of Hezekiah, God saved the people of Judah from destruction at the hands of the Assyrian army (2 Ki. 19:30-35). These events are not just historical details. God wanted us to understand His will for us. The Passover is God’s way to give his children salvation in any age. 

Where Can We Receive the Seal of God? 

In this age, the most important thing for us to do is receive the seal of God. Christ Ahnsahnghong came to this earth to place the seal on each of our foreheads so that we can be saved from the last disaster. He was baptized in 1948 in South Korea, and He restored the truth of the Passover, which was lost in the Dark Ages. He established the World Mission Society Church of God and people of all nations are now streaming to receive the promised gift of salvation. 

God gave us the perfect path to experience true safety, joy, and eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. Though we try with all our might, our own methods can never save us. It is now the time for all who hear to receive the seal of God and be saved.
